Billy Payne and Jan Bailey

Postby Nonno » Fri Jun 03, 2011 7:21 pm

Word has trickled down that calm and feisty Billy Payne and calm and lovely Jan Bailey have sold their house. Anyone who loves Monhegan (which is now so rife with Peter's call to take over), cannot deny that Billy Payne will always be remembered as one of the great (albeit quiet) forces on the Island. And the quiet and gracious and lovely southern breeze who is Jan Bailey will always be one of Monhegan's great voices in the Island's poesy.
As we ponder the future of Monhegan, we must not forget the past. As we have done with so many others over the years, their legacy shall be always ride back in with the tides.

...We hope
