Monhegan is a Hotspot for Birdwatchers

Monhegan is a popular stop for migrating birds during the spring, summer, and fall. Birdwatchers often report seeing a wide variety of species during their visits. The Yellow-Crowned Night Heron, pictured above, is rarely found in Maine during breeding season, but was spotted on Monhegan this month! Plan a trip to Monhegan so you can see these beautiful birds for yourself!
